MAJOR DUTIES:
Reporting to the Director of Project Management, the Junior Project Coordinator will support Project Management to ensure that cost and schedule project data is managed, controlled and reported to ensure that informed and timely decisions can be made by the Project Managers and the project leadership team. The Junior Project Coordinator will provide scheduling and cost updates and administrative support to the Director of Project Management and the Project Management department. Working with the Director of Project Management and the Project Managers, the Junior Project Coordinator will offer administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of the companys Vision and the companys Entrepreneurial Culture.
Update the companys Database with projected forecasted hours and expected material costs with input from various departments.
Obtain/update schedule information from various departments.
Support Project Control team in client reporting initiatives.
Support Project Control Team in tracking actions and meeting minutes.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Director as needed.
Maintain good corporate citizen role in support of the corporate Vision.
Adhere to all Health and Safety rules and procedures.
Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the companys Conduct Code.
EDUCATION:
Post-Secondary Education from an accredited college or University in Engineering, Business or Project Management.
Proficient with MS office based software.
Primavera P6 scheduling experience is preferred.
Experience in cost forecasting is preferred.
Experience in invoicing is preferred.
SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD would be a definite asset.
Experience with Nuclear projects would be a definite asset.
EXPERIENCE:
Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and a strong attention to detail is required.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to deal professionally and courteously with internal and external clients.
Knowledge of engineering terminology and document types and structures would be an asset.
